How To Produce COB LED Strip
Expanding Chips: The first step is to prepare and expand the LED chips that will be used in the COB (Chip on Board) LED strips.
Die Bonding: The chips are then bonded to a flexible PCB (Printed Circuit Board) using specialized equipment.
Attaching Resistors onto FPCB: Resistors are placed onto the flexible PCB to ensure the correct current flow for each LED.
Reflow Process: The PCB with the attached chips and resistors is subjected to a high-temperature reflow process (typically over 65°C), ensuring proper soldering of components.
Fluorescent Powder Glue Mixing: A fluorescent powder is mixed into the glue that will be applied to the LED chips. This is to ensure the correct color temperature and brightness.
Applying Glue: An automatic glue machine is used to apply the mixed glue onto the surface of the chips and resistors.
Oven Curing: The COB LED strips are placed into an oven to cure the glue and allow it to set, creating a smooth coating over the chips.
Quality Control Testing: After cooling, each COB LED strip undergoes a quality control test to ensure the correct performance and light output.
Soldering to Length: The COB LED strips are then soldered into standard lengths, typically 5 meters per reel, or custom lengths as requested by the customer.
Aging Test, QC, Packing, and Shipping: Finally, the LED strips undergo an aging test to ensure longevity, followed by further quality control checks, packing, and shipping to the customer.
